Sweet, spicy, and creamy baked chicken topped with hot honey and whipped feta sauce for a bold, irresistible flavor combination.
Ingredients
- For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- For the Hot Honey Sauce:
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- For the Feta Sauce:
- 4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- For Garnishing:
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from heat.
3. In a small saucepan, combine honey, red pepper flakes, apple cider vinegar, and butter over low heat. Stir until melted and smooth, then simmer for 1-2 minutes and set aside.
4. In a bowl, mix feta cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, oregano, and olive oil until smooth and creamy. Add a little water or milk if needed.
5. Pour half of the hot honey sauce over the chicken in the skillet.
6. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
7. Remove from oven and spoon feta sauce over each piece of chicken.
8. Drizzle remaining hot honey sauce on top.
9. Garnish with parsley, extra chili flakes if desired, and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Adjust red pepper flakes to control heat level.
Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier result.
Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
