Description

A rich and comforting garlic butter chicken pasta with tender seasoned chicken, silky Parmesan sauce, and perfectly cooked spaghetti.


Ingredients

  • For the Chicken:
  • 1 pound thinly sliced chicken breasts (about 2 medium breasts, halved horizontally)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • For the Pasta and Sauce:
  • 16 ounces spaghetti
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, minced (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, bouillon powder, garlic powder, paprika, and thyme.

3. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken about 3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F). Remove and keep warm.

4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

5. Add 1/2 cup reserved pasta water and stir to combine into a silky sauce.

6. Add cooked spaghetti and toss to coat. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add more pasta water if needed to loosen sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

7. Slice chicken and place over pasta. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately.


Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat gently with a splash of water or broth to loosen the sauce.

Use gluten-free pasta if needed for a gluten-free version.
