Description

These Honey BBQ Chicken Wraps are a perfect combination of sweet and savory flavors, wrapped in a soft tortilla. Ideal for a quick lunch or dinner, they are both satisfying and easy to prepare. Each bite bursts with the taste of grilled chicken, tangy barbecue sauce, and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or pepper jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional avocado slices for garnish

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the honey BBQ sauce until evenly coated.

2. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.

3. Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface or plate.

4. Place the chicken mixture on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes until heated through, stirring occasionally.

5. Remove the chicken from the heat and let it cool slightly.

6. Add the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, and red onion to each tortilla.

7. Top each tortilla with an equal portion of the BBQ chicken mixture.

8. Add avocado slices if desired.

9. Roll the tortillas tightly, folding in the sides as you go to secure the filling.

10. Serve immediately or wrap in foil for a portable meal.

Notes

You can customize these wraps by adding your favorite vegetables or using different types of cheese.

Leftover chicken works great for this recipe; just make sure to warm it up thoroughly.

For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or use a spicy BBQ sauce.
